Our April presentation will mark the Music at Trinity debut of baritone Alasdair Campbell and pianist Shan Jing. They have prepared a lovely program titled L’ombre et Light - a collection of art song, musical theatre, and opera in French and English, of character light-hearted, dark, or both. From the timeless songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein to the beautiful melodies of Henri Duparc, the satirical songs of Tom Lehrer and the impressionistic colors of Charles Tomlinson Griffes without forgetting Canadian composer John Estacio, there is something for everyone at this concert. It is not often that one can hear all these different styles of music in the same recital, and this promises to be a very pleasant afternoon of music with two wonderful performers. Please consider joining us on Saturday April 26th at 4pm at Trinity Anglican Church, a freewill offering in support of the artists and the musical activities of the church will grant you admission.
