Janice Austin

Hello Trinity family! I’m Janice Austin, and I am so excited to step into the role of Children’s Ministry Leader.

A little bit about me: I am currently pursuing my PhD in AI Governance at Carleton University. Before moving to Ottawa, I completed my Master’s in Engineering at the University of Guelph, and prior to that, I grew up and completed my schooling and undergraduate studies in India.

I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home by parents who love the Lord, and I grew up deeply rooted in the church, where I was both baptized and confirmed. Serving in children’s ministry has been a meaningful part of my journey for quite some time—from volunteering in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School (VBS) to serving on a mission trip to Nepal where we ran a 7-day VBS program.

I am truly passionate about helping children build a strong foundation of faith while having lots of fun along the way. I can’t wait to get to know all the kids and their families—please feel free to come up and say hi after the service!"
