The holiday season just might be our favourite and we have a bunch of events for you to check out this winter. If you are looking for an opportunity to connect with members of your community, want to check out a new church, or just looking to get out of the house (aren’t we all…) come join us at our upcoming events and services!

We’re sure to have something that interests you, so take a look and see what's new.

Trinity’s Christmas Schedule

Saturday, December 4th: Trinity will be hosting its annual ‘Frosty’s Fabulous Christmas Cookie Sale’! Come join us on the corner of Bank and Cameron between 10am to 1:00pm and pick up your favourite baked goods. We will also have handmade Christmas ornaments, cards, and Christmas decorations so make sure you come in early for first dibs (trust us, these cookies
don’t last long!)

Sunday, December 12th: Trinity’s Christmas Carol Service will be held at 7pm. Come and join in the singing as our talented music director, Fabien Tousignant, and our choir lead us in some traditional melodies sure to get you in the holiday spirit. This is a great opportunity for any students to take a study break and sing some Christmas carols - did you know that singing is good for memory recollection? Bringing a whole new meaning to ‘hitting those notes’!

Tuesday, December 14th: Hop on Zoom this Tuesday morning for Seniors in Conversation’s Christmas Party with Spencer Scarf! Seniors in Conversation is a weekly zoom call for older adults to hear about a variety of different topics and guest speakers. To get the link, register for this event by emailing seniors@trinityottawa.ca with your name, postal code, phone number and email address! All are welcome.

Sunday, December 19th: Advent 4 with our Christmas Pageant at 10am! A great event for the whole family.

Friday, December 24th: Join us for a variety of Christmas celebrations that are sure to interest everyone. At 4:30pm we will be hosting our ‘family’ service, perfect for our community members with children who would like to come out! At 7pm, we will be hosting our main service, and another at 10pm for those who prefer a more reflective candlelight service. We will celebrate Holy Eucharist, and sing Christmas Carols at all three of our Christmas Eve Services.

Saturday, December 25th: Merry Christmas! Once the presents are opened, the pancakes are made and the eggnog is drunk, head on over to Trinity for a simple ‘Christmas Day Holy Eucharist and Carols’ service at 10am. As you all know, we don’t have a strict dress code - but we’ve never heard of a better time to come to church in your cozy Christmas pajamas than now!

“It is so great to be back in person this year, especially for the Christmas season,” said Rev.
Mark Whittall, Trinity’s new priest. “This last year has been hard, and I think we’re all excited to
be back together for Christmas again, re-connecting with each other and singing those familiar
Christmas Carols. I know that I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone.”

If you’d like to stay up to date on all upcoming events, worship services, sermons, and volunteer opportunities, follow Trinity’s website (www.trinityottawa.ca) and social media accounts (@trinityanglican on Instagram and @trinityanglicanottawa on Facebook).

For those who may be new, Trinity Anglican Church is located in the heart of Old Ottawa South, on the corner of Bank Street and Cameron Avenue. All guests will be welcomed at the front doors. Masks are required.
