Those who know Jesus and recognise that he is the anointed Saviour are commissioned to go out as his witnesses and proclaim the good news.

Leader: Let us gather with our prayers before the God who knows each of us by name. Let us pray for St. Mark the Evangelist, Ottawa, The Venerable Robert Davis (Interim Priest-in-Charge). Parish of Pakenham St. Mark’s, Pakenham. St. John’s, Antrim St. George’s, Waba. The Reverend Peggy Kuzmicz. For the Chaplain of the Ottawa Fire Department, The Reverend Canon John Bridges. We pray for Fred, our Primate, Anne, our Metropolitan, John, our Bishop, and Michael Bird, our assisting Bishop. For Arran, our priest and for all clergy and people and their ministries in the Diocese of Ottawa.

People: God, we thank you that your Church is made up of real people, that it is a school for sinners, and that you can work with us and through us straight away. (Silence)

MUSIC AT TRINITY: Our next concert will be on June 15th 2019 at 4:30pm featuring, amongst other groups the Trinity Anglican Church Choir.  More details to come. Freewill offering. 

SPECIAL FINANCIAL VESTRY: There will be a Financial Vestry on Sunday May 5th where Trinity’s Audited 2018 Financial Statements will be presented as well as 2019 Budget. The discussion will be limited only to the Financial Statements and Budget and we will seek a Motion for Approval. The meeting should last 30 minutes, 11:30 – noon. Financial Statements will be available two weeks prior on Sunday April 22nd. 

INVITATION TO MOTHERS DAY: We are looking forward to celebrating Mother’s Day on May 12th at 10:00 a.m. here at Trinity, and we would like to be sure to invite you and your family to join us!

DOORS OPEN:  We will welcome the public on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, as a new participant in this annual city-wide event.  Volunteers are needed to guide our visitors and share Trinity’s story.  A signup sheet is available downstairs.  For further information, please contact Lindsay Whillans at 613-730-8728.

TEEN PROGRAM: The next session to be held on May 19th. Bring your friends and join us at 10:00 in the Canterbury room.

BALES FOR THE NORTH: It’s that time of the year again!  The ACW at Trinity are gathering NEW items for this project.  Items requested are household—flannelette sheets, towels, etc. Warm clothing—jeans (all sizes), baby clothes and diapers, children’s clothing. Please note that dried rice or pasta may also be sent north this year.  These articles may be brought to Trinity on Sundays or when the office is open.  The packing date is May 29th at St. Columba’s. Donations need to come in the week prior in order to be packed. For more information please contact Mary Wilson at (613) 521-7788.

SENIORS LUNCHEON PLANNING MEETING: There will be a meeting for all Senior’s Luncheon volunteers after the service on Sunday May 19th. We will be discussing our upcoming May menu. We will meet in a Sunday school room in Bender Hall. So, grab your coffee and we hope to see you there.
