Welcome to Trinity! If this is your first visit, please note that we do not take a collection during the service, but your offering may be placed on the plate at the back of the church as you enter or leave. Also, there are many occasions during the service where we stand for lengthy periods. If you are more comfortable sitting or kneeling, please feel free to do so.

The Prayers of the People:
Leader: Let us now demonstrate the hope that fills our hearts by turning to God in prayer. For those named in the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, in our Diocesan Prayer Calendar, and in our Parish Prayer Calendar we pray today for St. Alban’s, Maberly, St. Paul’s, Lanark, St. John’s, Balderson, St. Stephen’s, Bathurst, St. Andrew’s, Sharbot Lake, St. James, Parham, St. Andrew the Fisherman, Bob’s Lake, for the Director, Community Ministry, and the Military Chaplains of our Diocese and their families. For the needs of the whole Church that we name silently or aloud (silence). For John our bishop, for all bishops, for Andrea our Priest, for all the clergy and people.
People: Empower with your Spirit, O Lord, all ministers of the gospel, that they may preach the word boldly and without apology.
Leader: Empower with your Spirit, O Lord, all leaders of nations, that they may be unrelenting in their quest for peace.
People: Empower with your Spirit, O Lord, all the suffering peoples of this world, especially those who suffer for doing right.
Leader: Empower with your Spirit, O Lord, those among us who experience desolation, especially those for whom God seems most remote.
People: Empower with your Spirit, O Lord, the newly baptized, that they may never cease to praise you for the hope that fills their hearts.
Leader: Within our Parish we pray for the sick and the suffering, especially (insert names), and for those we name silently or aloud (silence), we pray we the Lord.
People: Empower with your Spirit, O Lord, all the sick and the dying, that they may find life.
Leader: We remember those who have died, especially (insert names), for those we name silently or aloud (silence). Gracious God, it is in the power of your abundant and life-giving Spirit that we call upon you in prayer.
People: Deepen our hope in your presence and your promise; hear us in your tender love, now and forever. Amen.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
NOTICE OF SPECIAL VESTRY: A special vestry is being called for Sunday June 5th, immediately following the service and the motion is as follows:
Moved by Paul Merriam, seconded by Evan Baker:
Vestry authorizes the Wardens to solicit a loan not exceeding $85,000.00 from the Rectory Trust Fund at 0% interest for a period of up to ten years. The Wardens shall use the loan to facilitate the purchase and installation of a solar electric generating system on the south roof of the sanctuary to generate electricity for sale to the Ontario Power Authority.
FROSTY FAIR PLANNING: Yes folks, it’s that time again – just as the tulips are starting to bloom! But we need to settle who might do what – and when. A planning meeting will be held immediately following the Special Vestry on Sunday, June 5th, in the Canterbury Room – please pick up a coffee and join us.
THE GRAPEVINE: Please pick up your copy of The Grapevine at the back of the church.
PARISH PICNIC, Sunday June 12th, at 10:00 a.m. Our annual picnic of worship, fun and food will be at Brewer Park. Please bring picnic food to share, drinks, lawn chairs, smiles and a friend. If weather is iffy, call the church for confirmation of location.
SPRING CLEANING? This autumn Trinity will be participating in the annual Old Ottawa South Porch Sale on Saturday, September 10th. Please keep this sale in mind while you are Spring Cleaning, and set aside any saleable items for then. If you can’t keep items at home until the fall, you can bring them to the Church for storage. As the date comes nearer we will be asking for volunteers and providing more details. Questions? Please contact Paul Merriam or leave a message at the Church Office.
CENTRETOWN EMERGENCY FOOD CENTRE (CEFC) is always looking for donations of both food and money to help serve its clients, particularly during the summer months when expenses remain high and donations fall off. Food requests for the month are canned vegetables, Kraft dinner and canned soup. They are also looking for volunteers, and can be reached at 613-232-3059.
CHANGE FOR CHANGE. Don’t forget to drop all your spare change into the World Vision bucket for Sheila. Check the scrap book for the latest updates on her progress.
If you have any announcement that didn’t make this week’s bulletin, please let Rev. Andrea know prior to the service and she will ensure that it is read.
