Many people’s needs press upon our daily lives and fill our daily news.

People: That we may respond as neighbours, let us ask the Lord for help,

Leader: Help us to be neighbours to strangers,

People: to people of every land and tongue and culture.

Leader: We pray for the sick and the suffering, especially (insert names), and those we name silently or aloud (pause).  We remember those who have died, especially (insert names), and those we name silently or aloud (pause).  Help us to be neighbours

People: to all who suffer, the lonely, the sick and the sorrowing.

Leader: Help us to be neighbours to people of every creed,

People: to Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus, Buddhists and atheists.

Leader: Help us to be neighbours to the enemy, the alien, the despised, those with whom we disagree.

People: Help us to be neighbours to everyone we pass on the road, to salespeople, co-workers, family, and passers-by.

Leader: Help us to be neighbours to one another,

People: and thus to share our lives as we share your word and your supper.

People: Hear the prayers we make in the name of the Son you sent to dwell among us, the neighbour who is attentive to all our needs, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER! Trinity and Church of the Ascension will be running a Vacation Bible School at Trinity from July 2-5, 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.  Cost is $30.  If you are interested in this program please speak to Miss Jess. Sunday School will continue over the summer, with the exceptions of July 14th, July 21st and September 1st.

LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER! I would like to make appointments with members of the congregation to visit you at home, in your office, at the cottage, or take you out for coffee/tea.  You can contact the office, email me, phone me or make an appointment when we see each other at church.  Hope to visit with you soon!   Rev. Arran

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE! Frosty’s Fair will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.  We need volunteers to set up on Friday evening and take down on Saturday.  We are also in need of people to work at the various tables on Saturday.  You don’t have to commit yourself for the entire weekend; just an hour or two of your time would be greatly appreciated.  Any items that you would like to “re-gift” or donate would be most welcome.  Please look for further details in the weekly bulletins in September.  If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help out, please contact Brenda Cheeseman at 613-226-8305 or

CHANGE FOR CHANGE: Don’t forget to drop all your spare change into the World Vision bucket at the back of the church. Check the scrapbook for the latest updates on Sheila, our World Vision child.
