Welcome to Trinity!  If this is your first visit, please note that we do not take a collection during the service, but your offering may be placed on the plate at the back of the church as you enter or leave.  Also, there are many occasions during the service where we stand for lengthy periods.  If you are more comfortable sitting or kneeling, please feel free to do so.

The Prayers of the People:

Leader: Through baptism we have been made alive in Christ Jesus.

People: Let us speak the words of this new life by praying for the whole state of Christ’s church and the world, we pray to the Lord.

Leader: In the Diocese of Ottawa, we pray today for St. Martin’s, Ottawa, St. Bartholomew’s, Ottawa, for the Diocesan Refugee Working Group, and in our Companion Diocese of Jerusalem, we pray for All Saints’ Church, Damascus, Syria.  For the needs of the whole Church that we name silently or aloud (silence). For John our bishop, for all bishops, for Andrea and Paul our Priests, for all the clergy and people.

People: For the church, that we might be faithful, willing to serve, constant in grace, and receptive to newness, we pray to the Lord.

Leader: For this congregation, that we might be eager to welcome others, be diligent in prayer, and generous in deed, we pray to the Lord.

People: For our nation, town, and neighborhood, that we might be advocates of the lowly, defenders of liberties, and models of justice, we pray to the Lord.

Leader: For those who grieve, those in places of care, those in prison, those who are addicted, those who are despondent.  Within our Parish we pray for the sick and the suffering, especially (insert names), and for those we name silently or aloud (silence), we pray to you O Lord.

People: For those in dangerous occupations, those who care for the sick, those who work the land, those who engage in commerce, and those who teach, we pray to the Lord.

Leader: For all who travel, who seek rest, who visit family and friends, who enjoy the gifts of creation, we pray to the Lord.

People: For our families and for all placed under our care, for our enemies and for those with whom we disagree, and for those who are examples of grace in our lives, we pray to the Lord.

Leader: We remember those who have died, especially (insert names), for those we name silently or aloud (silence). Give them eternal rest.

People: Yours, O God, is the dominion, the power, and the glory, now and forever. Amen.
