“There are many kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.”

SUNDAY SCHOOL

It has already been a pleasure to work with the children and youth at Trinity. The energy that the young people share with me is such a blessing and a reminder that the Holy Spirit is Alive and well!  Over the past few weeks the children have been learning about God’s creation. In the weeks to come the children will be learning about God’s Love, Having Faith, Blessings, and Serving the Lord.  The youth (9 to 12 yr olds), have been learning about developing community. In the weeks to come, they will be exploring, “Who is God?” through video clips, group discussions and hands on activities. There are lots of exciting things being planned, including a quick, but enjoyable trip to the Caribbean. We hope to see you there!

Yours in Christ, Miss Jess

Kudos!

A big thank you to Nancy Bassam and Paul Merriam and all their helpers who spent many hours getting ready for and working the day of the Porch Sale.

PORCH SALE

This year’s Old Ottawa South Porch Sale was the wettest in recent memory. A few hardy souls set up tarps or tents on their lawns or in their driveways, and a few others donned raincoats or used umbrellas to hop from porch to porch, but most people around the neighbourhood wrote the whole thing off. Trinity had a great advantage: we were able to offer people a refuge from the rain. However the sparse number of shoppers translated into very weak sales.

Many thanks to everyone who helped sort, price, sell and then dispose of the unsold merchandise. We will try again next year.
