The Prayers of the People

Leader: We pray for the Church throughout the world, and in our Diocese we pray today for St. John the Evangelist, Lancaster, St. Michael and All Angels, Maxville, and for the members of the Diocesan Refugee Working Group.  In our Companion Diocese of Jerusalem we pray for St. Luke’s Center, Beirut, Lebanon.  For John our bishop, for all bishops, for Arran our Priest and for all the clergy and people. Let us pray together for the riches that endure.

People: For faith enough to proclaim God’s word

Leader: We pray for the sick and the suffering, especially (insert names), and those we name silently or aloud (pause).  We remember those who have died, especially (insert names), and those we name silently or aloud (pause).  For compassion enough to comfort the suffering.

People: For hope enough to bolster the discouraged.

Leader: For courage enough to tackle the problems of nations and races.

People: For forgiveness enough to heal old wounds.

Leader: For love enough to bind us to all in Christ’s community.

People: Giver of all gifts, what we are and what we have come from you. Enrich us with your blessings; impoverish us in the service of the Son who lived and died in poverty. He is our greatest wealth, Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord. Amen.

On Tuesday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m., THE REVEREND ARRAN THORPE WILL BE INDUCTED AS THE INCUMBENT PRIEST OF TRINITY ANGLICAN CHURCH. Bishop John Chapman will be presiding, and Archdeacon P.J. Hobbs delivering the homily.

SUMMER ULTREYAS: There will be two Summer Ultreyas at Andrew Haydon Park, the first this Wednesday, July 24th at 7:00 p.m., and the second on Wednesday, August 21st at 7:00 p.m.  For more information, please call Chris Garnett (613-737-1176).

Paul and Linda, children of MARGARET JEAN PETERSON, invite all parishioners, family and friends to join them for a memorial service for their mother at Trinity this Saturday, July 27th at 11:00 a.m.  Their parents Jean and Earl, former long time members of Trinity, donated the ‘Pentecost’ and ‘Crucifixion’ Windows in the Sanctuary in 1976.

LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER! I would like to make appointments with members of the congregation to visit you at home, in your office, at the cottage, or take you out for coffee/tea.  You can contact the office, email me, phone me or make an appointment when we see each other at church.  Hope to visit with you soon!   Rev. Arran

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE! Frosty’s Fair will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  We need volunteers to set up on Friday evening and take down on Saturday.  We are also in need of people to work at the various tables on Saturday.  You don’t have to commit yourself for the entire weekend; just an hour or two of your time would be greatly appreciated.  Any items that you would like to “re-gift” or donate would be most welcome.  Please look for further details in the weekly bulletins in September.  If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help out, please contact Brenda Cheeseman at 613-226-8305 or

THANK YOU TO THE SUNDAY SCHOOL CHILDREN, who raised $19.55 as a donation for Sheila’s birthday.  Well done!  Check the scrapbook at the back of the church for updates on her progress, and don’t forget to keep dropping your spare change into the World Vision bucket!
