The Nicene Creed                                                       page 188

The Prayers of the People:

Leader: God has consecrated us in baptism’s gracious waters to be a holy people. That we may be ever anointed with gladness, let us turn to our God in prayer.  Let us pray for the needs of the whole Church that we name silently or aloud (silence). For John our Bishop, for all bishops, for Andrea our Priest, for all the clergy and people.

People:   We pray for the church, for an end to division and indignation, for all the people washed and sent by Christ, and for a renewal of God’s fulfilling Spirit, we pray to you O Lord.

Leader:    We pray for all who beg for life, for all baptismal candidates awaiting the pool of grace, and for hearts of devout faith, we pray to you O Lord.

People:   We pray for all who are called to govern in justice and peace, for an end to all works of darkness, for all the peoples created in God’s image, and for a Spirit of wisdom and mercy to rule the mighty, we pray to you O Lord.

Leader:    Within our Parish we pray for the sick and the suffering, especially (insert names), and for those we name silently or aloud (silence), we pray to you O Lord.

People:   We pray for the forgotten and abandoned, for all who are in anguish, for the guilt-ridden, for all in need of the Spirit, for the sick, the grieving, and the dying, we pray to you O Lord.

Leader:    For all brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, spouses and families, friends and companions,

People:   that there may be love and mutual reverence, we pray to you O Lord.

Leader:    We remember those who have died, especially (insert names), for those we name silently or aloud (silence).  We praise you, God of our hope, for all the children of light who have gone before us and now stand in your radiant countenance.

People:   Give us the light of Christ, that we may leap up in our darkness and rise from death at the last, into the life of gladness in Christ our Lord. Amen.

EASTER FLOWERS MEMORIAL LIST: If you wish to make a donation towards the Easter flowers in the church, please do so before Tuesday, April 19th, in order to ensure that the names of those to be remembered are included in the Easter bulletins.  Please check last year’s list at the back of the church.  Envelopes are available for your donation, and may be placed on the offering plate.

Yvonne Silverman and her team(Carmen Christian, Chris Garnett and Sue Taylor) will be representing Trinity on Wednesday, April 6th, at CARLETON UNIVERSITY’S PAUSE TABLE for students taking exams.  If you were not able to donate baked or other goods, please consider making a donation towards purchasing of drink boxes, yogurt, etc.  Please speak to Yvonne, Rev. MORE “HOLY ROLLERS” NEEDED.  “Holy Rollers” count the offertory money after the 10 a.m. service.  We want to set up

multiple teams to rotate weeks, so that this is not overly time-consuming.  Please speak to Rev. Andrea if you can lend a hand.

KEEP THOSE PENNIES COMING FOR SHEILA! Don’t forget to drop all your spare change into the World Vision bucket for Sheila.  Check the scrap book for news of her family and activities.
