Mighty God,

To you belong the mysteries of the universe.

The smallest seeds into magnificent trees,

And hardened hearts into loving one.

And shape us into your purposes,

Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

We pray for St. Alban the Martyr, Mattawa and all who minister there, St. Margaret of Scotland, Rutherglen, The Reverend David Shields, St. Alban the Martyr, Ottawa The Reverend Mark Whittall.  For the National Indigenous Bishop, The Right Reverend Mark MacDonald For the upcoming National Aboriginal Day of Prayer (June 21). We pray for John, our bishop, Arran, our priest. We pray for all clergy and people and their ministries in the Diocese of Ottawa.

People: May the kingdom grow in clusters of Christians all over the world; may it grow as hearts are warmed by the encounter with the living God; nourished by work and sacrament, private prayer and public worship. (Silence)

Leader: Lord of heaven:

People: let the kingdom grow!

Leader: May the kingdom grow in states, empires and monarchies, in the crowded streets of cities and in the scattered rural communities; in all decision-making and all spending. (Silence)

Leader: Lord of heaven:

People: let the kingdom grow!

Leader: May the kingdom grow in every human shelter and home, every place of work and education, in each conversation and in our mutual care of one another. (Silence)

Leader: Lord of heaven:

People: let the kingdom grow!

Leader: May the kingdom grow to bring peace and healing wherever there is pain or sadness; to bring reassurance, comfort, courage and hope. At this time, we pray for (insert names) and for those who we name silently or aloud.  (Silence)

Leader: Lord of heaven:

People: let the kingdom grow.

Leader: In the knowledge that we must all face judgement, we pray for those who have died, thanking God for his loving mercy, and entrusting our loved ones to God’s safe keeping. At this time, we pray for (insert names) and for those who we name silently or aloud.  (Silence)

Leader: Lord of heaven:

People: let the kingdom grow!
