fruit ever bearing,
Jesus hath said,
“He taketh away.”

I am the vine
and ye are the branches;
I am the vine, be
faithful and true;
Ask what ye will,
your prayer shall be granted;
The Father loved
Me, so I have loved you.

through words I have spoken,
Living in Me, much
fruit ye shall bear;
Dwelling in you, My
promise unbroken,
Glory in heav’n
with Me ye shall share……Refrain

He passeth before you,
Leading to realms
of glorious day……Refrain

Homily                                                              Jamie Tomlinson

The Apostle’s Creed                                                     page 189

The Prayers of the People:

Leader: Let us join through prayer with everything that lives.

People: Let us acknowledge to God the one life we share.

Leader: In our Diocese we pray today for St. Paul’s, Combermere, the Church of the Epiphany, Barry’s Bay, Holy Trinity, Madawaska, and St. Anthony’s, Whitney.  We pray for the Stewardship and Development Office and for those clergy under the jurisdiction of the Bishop of Ottawa.   In our Companion Diocese of Jerusalem, we pray for St. Savior’s Episcopal Church, Zerka.  For the needs of the whole Church that we name silently or aloud (silence). As we move forward in our GIFT campaign, we pray O God that we remember that it is from you that every gift derives. You taught us that to serve you is to serve others.  We ask that you continue to bless and sanctify the Growing in Faith Together campaign as an act of our faithfulness to you and that you will lead us to continue growing in faith together. For John our Bishop, for all bishops, for Andrea our Priest, for all the clergy and people.  O God, your Holy Spirit is alive in all the earth. Your Spirit that moved and shaped land and sea, trees and beasts still moves and shapes us into creation.

People: Through Christ we know your one Holy Spirit, for you are God of all.  We pray that the entire world may know your Spirit, O God for you make us one.

Leader: Open our eyes to see your world. Show us what lives around us, over and behind and within us.

People: Give us the mind of Christ, O God for you make us one.

Leader: We pray O God for one another, that we may hear and understand each other.

People: Bring trust and sympathy between the peoples of the world. Make all nations one household with many rooms, O God for you make us one.

Leader: Within our Parish we pray for the sick and the suffering, especially (insert names), and for those we name silently or aloud (silence).  Heal each of us and all those who are sick. We remember those who have died, especially (insert names), for those we name silently or aloud (silence).

People: Cheer all those who are overwhelmed by guilt. Love all those who are alone. Call the entire world to yourself, O God for you make us one.

Leader: Enliven the church with the Spirit of Christ, and give your loving Spirit to a world in need of comfort.

People: Make our many gifts one offering for the world O God.  We pray for this unity which only your Spirit can give, through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Announcements

THANKS TO EVERYONE who helped in any way with the Great Trinity Book Sale.  A big hurrah for organizers Sue and Bob Taylor who worked so hard!

FROSTY’S FAIR PLANNING MEETING:  We realize summer hasn’t arrived and November seems so far away. However, time flies and we need to determine a date and who is available to help out. A planning meeting will be held at 11:15 on Sunday, May 13th in the Canterbury Room. The two new sheep (Brenda Cheeseman and Beulah Rumbolt) who are leading the flock this year would appreciate your input. We look forward to seeing you there.

THE MULTI-GRADERS (of the Church School) will be gathering with Rev. Andrea on Sunday, May 13th at 11:15 a.m. They have so many questions…and together we will look for the answers.

TRINITY ACW WILL BE PACKING BALES FOR THE NORTH on Wednesday, May 30th.  There will be a basket at the back of the church for your generous donations.  For more information please see the notice on the bulletin board in Bender Hall or on the basket.

TRINITY’S SPRING CLEANING will be held on Saturday, May 12th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. We’d sure appreciate everyone’s help in giving our church a good cleaning inside and out.  Come join us and see how much fun we can have!

TRINITY WILL BE HOLDING AN OLD FASHIONED CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE on June 2nd.  Doing your spring cleaning?  Bring us any jewellery, household items in good condition, and clean gently used clothing, linens and toys that you no longer want.  The better quality the item, the better it sells!  For more information please contact Paul Merriam (613-730-7581) or Nancy Bassam (613-731-5086).

CHANGE FOR CHANGE.  Don’t forget to drop all your spare change into the World Vision bucket for Sheila. Check the scrap book for the latest updates on her progress.

If you have any announcement that didn’t make this week’s bulletin, please let Rev. Andrea know prior to the service and she will ensure that it is read.
