Music at Trinity

Organ Recital

The glorious and romantic music of Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, performed in concert format, featuring the superb voices of Stephanie Piercey Beames as the Marschallin, Susan Elizabeth Brown as Sophie and Pauline van der Roest as Octavian. Brahm Goldhamer, pianist, joins this stellar cast in presenting the Marschallin’s monologue, the Presentation of the Rose and the final trio. Presented in conjunction with Music at Trinity at Trinity Anglican Church on Bank Street, Ottawa.

Admission is by Freewill Offering.


The Music at Trinity concert series is a self-funded initiative to support artists and the musical activities at Trinity Anglican Church. It produces one concert a month on Saturdays at 4:30 pm from September through to June.

Tuesday December 16, 2014 at 7:00pm, at Trinity, ticket price $25, student ticket price $5.00 at the door after 6:30

A concert for Piano and Voice, Marie-France Lefebvre and Jean Desmarais will share a piano stool, Opera singers Isabelle Lacroix and Denis Lawlor will join them. Chorale Lyrica Choir (a children’s choir) lead by Timothy Piper will also perform. Marie France Lefebvre is guest assistant conductor with major opera companies including the Metropolitan Opera and San Francisco Opera as well as a Master Class Voice teacher in Washington, DC.

Program: Variations of W.A. Mozart, the songs of Strauss and Schubert, Joseph Kosma Songs, Umberto Giordano de Fedora; Chorale Lyrica Choir of Aylmer will sing Benjamin Britten, Healey Willan, Henry Purcell, Mary Donnelly and John Rutter.

Master Class Schedule: A chance to see leading opera students practise with Marie-France (free will donation to observe), Sunday December 12, 4-6:00pm, Monday December 13, 7-9:30pm
