The Prayers of the People

Leader: We pray for the Church throughout the world, and in our Diocese we pray today for St. Helen’s, Orleans, and for the volunteers of all Anglican Pastoral Care Teams.  In our Companion Diocese of Jerusalem we pray for The Palestine Hospital, Amman, Jordan.  For John our bishop, for all bishops, for Arran our Priest and for all the clergy and people.

People: For Christians everywhere, striving to bear witness to God’s love for the world.

Leader: With the Lord’s encouraging words still sounding in our ears,

People: let us frame again the prayers that linger in all human hearts.

Leader: We are weary of war and threats of war.

People: Let us pray for peace in our world.

Leader: We fear for our children.

People: Let us pray for all children, their health and well-being.

Leader: We are anxious about our security.

People: Let us pray for an end to hunger and want.

Leader: We yearn for faith in an uncertain world.

People: Let us pray for all who preach the gospel.

Leader: Within our Parish we pray for the sick and the suffering, especially (insert names), and those we name silently or aloud (pause).  We remember those who have died, especially (insert names), and those we name silently or aloud (pause).  We tremble at our own vulnerability.

People: Let us pray for the victims of illness, accident, and disaster.

Leader: We carry worry in our hearts.

People: Let us pray for the needs we can hardly bear to name.

Leader: Loving God, our Father, you fashioned the human heart; you know the needs that make it ache.

People: Hear us, your children, praying as your Son taught us. His is the name we invoke; his is the kingdom we await: Jesus Christ, the Lord.  Amen.

SUMMER ULTREYAS: There will be two Summer Ultreyas at Andrew Haydon Park, the first on Wednesday, July 24th at 7:00 p.m., and the second on Wednesday, August 21st at 7:00 p.m.  For more information, please call Chris Garnett (613-737-1176).

Paul and Linda, children of MARGARET JEAN PETERSON, invite all parishioners, family and friends to join them for a memorial service for their mother at Trinity on Saturday, July 27th at 11:00 a.m.  Their parents Jean and Earl, former long time members of Trinity, donated the ‘Pentecost’ and ‘Crucifixion’ Windows in the Sanctuary in 1976.

LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER! I would like to make appointments with members of the congregation to visit you at home, in your office, at the cottage, or take you out for coffee/tea.  You can contact the office, email me, phone me or make an appointment when we see each other at church.  Hope to visit with you soon!   Rev. Arran

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE! Frosty’s Fair will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.  We need volunteers to set up on Friday evening and take down on Saturday.  We are also in need of people to work at the various tables on Saturday.  You don’t have to commit yourself for the entire weekend; just an hour or two of your time would be greatly appreciated.  Any items that you would like to “re-gift” or donate would be most welcome.  Please look for further details in the weekly bulletins in September.  If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help out, please contact Brenda Cheeseman at 613-226-8305 or

CHANGE FOR CHANGE: Don’t forget to drop all your spare change into the World Vision bucket at the back of the church. Check the scrapbook for the latest updates on Sheila, our World Vision child.
