Having bought back our freedom with the giving of his life, Jesus enters into the full glory to which he is entitled.

Leader: Rejoicing that Jesus has ascended into the heavens, let us pray in confidence to God. Let us pray for the Church of the Ascension, Ottawa, The Reverend Rhonda Waters, Julian of Norwich, The Reverend Deacon Elizabeth December, and all who minister there. For all Church Musicians serving in the Diocese of Ottawa. We pray for John, our bishop, Arran, our priest. We pray for all clergy and people and their ministries in the Diocese of Ottawa.

People: We pray in thankfulness for those who introduced us to Jesus and who help us along our spiritual journey. We pray for one another in this church and for all Christians, young and old throughout the world. (Silence)

People: let your kingdom come.

MUSIC AT TRINITY: Our next concert will be on June 16th 2018 at 4:30pm.  A tribute to Benny Goodman featuring works by Francis Poulenc, Aaron Copland and Benny Goodman performed by Roxanne Léveillé, clarinet and Fabien Tousignant, piano. Freewill offering.

 

EVENSONG: Our next Evensong will be on Trinity Sunday May 27th 2018 at 5:30pm with our very own Trinity Anglican Church Choir.

 

CHRIST’S CHOIR CAMBRIDGE: On Thursday July 5th 2018 at 7pm Christ Choir Cambridge will perform here at Trinity in a little summer concert series were are launching in July.  They also need a place to stay overnight and it would be nice if we can host them.  If you have a spare room to accommodate 1 maybe 2 choristers for one night only, it would be much appreciated.  Let Fabien know if you can help.

 

 

PRIEST ON THE HOT SEAT IS BACK! Youth aged 9-17 are invited to ask Rev. Arran and Rev. Rhona their burning questions. We will meet in the Canterbury Room on Friday, May 25th from 7:00-8:30. Hope to see you there!

 

SPECIAL VESTRY: To be held at Trinity on Sunday May 27th after the 10am worship concerning a motion made at the last Vestry meeting. The motion was to strike a committee to present options with a recommendation, concerning redevelopment or disposition of the Trinity property. The motion was moved by D’Arcy De Marsico, Seconded by Bob Taylor, Carried.

 

PARISH PICNIC, Sunday June 24th, at 9:00 a.m.  Our annual picnic of worship, fun and food will be at Windsor Park.  Please bring picnic food to share, drinks, lawn chairs, smiles and a friend.  If weather is iffy, call the church for confirmation of location.
