Welcome to Trinity!  If this is your first visit, please note that we do not take a collection during the service, but your offering may be placed on the plate at the back of the church as you enter or leave.  Also, there are many occasions during the service where we stand for lengthy periods.  If you are more comfortable sitting or kneeling, please feel free to do so.

Homily

Apostles’ Creed                                                           page 189

Prayers of the People:

Leader:  Let us pray for the Church throughout the world, particularly L’Eglise Episcopal du Rwanda; in our own diocese, for St. Martin’s Ottawa; The Church of St. Bartholomew, Ottawa; and the Diocesan Refugee Work Group.  For John our bishop, for all bishops, for Andrea and Paul, our Priests and for all the clergy and people. Let us pray together for the riches that endure.

People:   For faith enough to proclaim God’s word.

Leader:    Within our Parish we pray for the sick and the suffering, especially (insert names).  We remember those who have died, especially (insert names).  For compassion enough to comfort the suffering.

People:   For hope enough to bolster the discouraged.

Leader:    For courage enough to tackle the problems of nations and races.

People:   For forgiveness enough to heal old wounds.

Leader:    For love enough to bind us to all in Christ’s community.

People:   Giver of all gifts, what we are and what we have come from you. Enrich us with your blessings; impoverish us in the service of the Son who lived and died in poverty. He is our greatest wealth, Jesus Christ, our Saviour and our Lord. Amen.
